"Pompeii lost and found" by Mary Pope Osborne

This wonderful '08 Bloebonnet book is about the richest town in Rome, till AD 79, when it was struck with disaster. Pompeii was frozen for 1,500 years under the volcanic ash of Mt. Vesuvius. Archaeologists have recovered some buildings, found tools and even recovered some bodies and discovered the way of life of the people who were victims of that disaster. This is a dramatic book about the perish and rediscovery of Pompeii.
